Default Question about GW:EN

As I have read on some of the threads, Anet indicates that they will release these 2 Guild Wars. 1 is GW:EN also known as Gwen and the other will be GW2. So these are my questions: Is GW:EN like another expansion of GW1 like NF, Faction and Prophe? If yes then can anyone tell me when will they release it? I know that GW2 will be released in 2008 and know that it will have connection with GW:EN. Can anyone tell me how and which way do they related? Thanks for reading!

GW:EN is an expansion, its not a stand alone game like the other 3 chapters.
To play it you will need at least one of the other chapters.
It will not have new characters.
You have to use one of your high level characters to play it.
The game will be out late this year.

GW2 is a brand new game, will use new engine and will have you start from scratch.
Just think of it as a new game.
It will have connection in GW since its in the same setting and land.
Beta will start sometime in 2008, it will not be out in 2008, its mostly a 2009 or 2010 game.

GW2 actually has a rather strong connection to Eye of the North. Not only does it introduce the races and possibly the storyline, but it lets us GW1 "veterans" unlock some goodies for GW2. Through quests in Eye of the North, you will actively build your Hall of monuments. The magazine mentions special weapons and minis, and Gaile mentioned "unique" armor.
